I started this Opus tile with just 3 circles for zengems down the bottom left. No plans, no problems, no expectations, no rushing just wondering what the surprise would be when I finished.
After tangling around the 3 zengems it seemed to need balancing with 2 more. Around with a flourish, tangling with just the black pen and finished off with shading, a touch of gold and white highlights. Yes, I'm happy with that!
Why is it that when I look at other artists work everything seems to flow so nicely together, and yet I can never see that in my own work! I love this piece, the ballance of the dark black and the openess of some of the areas. Love the "flower" around the orange gem, what is that tangle called? Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you thank you Brenda. I think your tangles do flow beautifully. The flower shape is a tangleation of squill.
DeleteI love the moment, and the way the composition starts to flow off to the right!
