Christmas Wishes

This year (as always) 'The Twelve Days of Zentangle' has been full of exceptional projects to inspire our creative spirit.
Thank you so much Rick, Maria and Zentangle Team for all the superb delights.

Even though I didn't have the new grey tiles I played along with tan tiles and grey card. I will certainly be ordering the grey tiles in the new year along with the chalk pencils for super colours.

Hidden

There is something reaching out
a breeze through the grass
the day is turning gold
a mixture of feelings
is it hiding
rolling stirring grasping
trying to take hold.
No wait I'll stay hidden a little longer.

Spring Daisy

The paper is size A4 which works really well when scanned, reduced and printed on cards and book marks.

Blog 1000!

Blog 1000 means I have tangled over 1000 Zentangle pieces of art work. Most are on original tiles but many are large Zentangle Inspired Art works. The Opus tiles have become my favourites with that extra room to play and create.

It's been almost 10 years since I started tangling and wow what an amazing time it's been, making wonderful friendships from all around the world and sharing this extraordinary art form has been an absolute delight for me. Thank you so much for all your fabulous comments, I sure have felt the love from our Zentangle community.

It's fun looking back over the time appreciating the change of my style. As an example here is a Mosaic that I finished last month with the 2nd one I that did in January 2012. They are the same pre-strung tiles.

January 2012

Now for a couple of Opus tiles that I haven't posted but finished a couple of months ago. I have been loving my tangling time but just been a bit lackadaisical about sitting at the computer.

Can you believe it?
It's been too hot to tangle!!
Many people around the globe think that little Tasmania down at the bottom of the world is a cold place to live but this summer is turning out to be a scorcher with temperatures  well above 30 degree Celsius for quite a few days.
Early mornings have been the best time to tangle, here are a couple of pages from my journal with lesson 6 out of Zentangle Primer 1.

Happy New Year 2019

Calm..... according to the Collins Dictionary calm is not showing agitation or excitement. My plan for this year was to be calm at all times but it's good to be excited too. I like excitement so can we be calmly excited or excitingly calm? The dictionary also says calm is a peaceful state... I like that. So I'm going to try and be peaceful in an excited way...yay...woohooo...ahh...sigh!

Hope everyone can spring into 2019 with happiness, health and a carefree mind, be calm, throw in some excitement and enjoy the thrills!
