The Diva's
Weekly Challenge #173: Redux, Remix,
Revisit Your Comfort Tangle
We have a guest Sharla Hicks CZT post our challenge this week.
See her beautiful informative blog here
We are to Redux, Remix, Revisit a familiar favorite tangle, one we may call a comfort or go-to tangle with a different look. I selected Tripoli but I stretched it out on a black zendala tile. I usually overdo the black tiles but I enjoyed the simplicity of one tangle and decided it was finished so revisited brayd on another black zendala tile.
Thanks Sharla for encouraging me to revisit the black tiles.
Very pretty, Shelly.
ReplyDeleteI like 'um both, Shelly. I've got to get me some of those black tiles. I like the way you treated Brayd. Both of them are so well done.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful. Together, they remind me of star gazing.
ReplyDeleteBoth are great but 'mI totally in love with the first. The simplicity and the shading are perfect.
ReplyDeleteShelly, Both are truly magnificently created and put down onto paper... your creation of Brayd is wonderful too... love it also... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, I just so admire your work.
ReplyDeleteAnother stellar performance, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThese are stunning Shelly! I just thought I'd let you know that I finished my CZT training! I can't wait to get connected to you all!
ReplyDeleteWell done....congratulations, that's so very exciting Cindy!
DeleteWow! I love the work on the black. I especially like the top one. The shading is so well done.
ReplyDeleteV_E_R_Y N_I_C_E!
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful! Love the look of white on black and you have softened the strokes so nicely! ~ joey ~
ReplyDeleteoh my… these are stunning! Tripoli is a tangle I've always feared and had trouble with and you make it looks so elegant and (maybe) easy.
ReplyDeleteLove the black tiles, they really make the tangles stand out
ReplyDeleteYou did so very well (again) with these. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOutstanding, I love them both. But I'm hooked on the first one with Tripoli. Before I even opend your post I guessed that you should have done one with Tripoli. This one looks so delicate. It is almost as a real jelly fish.
ReplyDeleteYour black Zendalas are amazing. Little dark moons that glisten and shine!
ReplyDeleteI would say you have nothing to worry about when it comes to the black tiles. These are beautiful. I like the simplicity of them. The Tripoli reminds me of looking through a microscope. I like the cross hatch on the Brayd. You should do things on black tiles more often.
ReplyDeleteThese are both beautiful. The simplicity of each allows it to stand out. I need to try again on black tiles.
ReplyDeleteUtterly fab!
ReplyDeleteShelly..... absolutely beautiful !!! These are great, I especially love the one with tripoli...in its simplicity, it is stunning.
ReplyDeletefrom Duane.
Love the white on Black.....gorgeous lines!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Shelly <3
ReplyDeleteBeautiful black tiles! I especially like the Tripoli. You certainly did not over do. It's simplistically gorgeous! Between your tiles and Sharla Hicks black tiles, I had to have a go too! I need more practice, but I see the potential now!
ReplyDeleteLove your monotangles and the white on black. Stunning work as always! I especially love the open space on the tile with tripoli.
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty. The Tripoli one actually looks round!
