When ever I think of breaking free it is usually about a trip and the tangle tripoli represents that freedom to me, tripoli can gather together or head off in its own direction. Laura's challenge #86 this week is about moving out and breaking free of our borders.
It is school holidays here so Heidi and Samuel (our Grandchildren) have been for a sleep over, it is springtime and the garden is in blossom but it needed a good clean up. They have helped plant, rake, wash down outdoor furniture and now they are older ventured over the fence to catch tadpoles on their own.
This is wonderful. I had wanted to use tripoli but was unable to make it work. I love the "leaves" scattered about.

ReplyDeletemichele - this is awesome! i still can't get tripoli to work - and it's one rick and maria spent time on at our training - just can't get a handle on it. i love the way you have it spilling our onto the ground

ReplyDeleteI'm too new to understand which tangle goes with which name...but I know what I like and I LIKE the looks of this one!
ReplyDeletetripol is the triangle shape tangle with the touch of colour.
Deleteahhh, triple as in triangle.... makes sense. I especially liked the 'columns'. Too soon for me to mess with color, -still learning the patterns, but it is something to look forward to. Keep showing us all how to do it!!!

ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous. Tripoli is one of my favorite patterns, and I love how you incorporate it here. I love how it breaks free and explores off the tile. I also like your use of color and the inner design in tripoli.
