Inspiration from Myanmar (Burma)

From landing in Yangon to the busy markets in Hpa-an, the Bagan Archaeological area and the fascinating floating village at Inle Lake we absorbed the brilliant colour and life of Myanmar.

With Paul, Nan and Josh in Yangon.

We passed many trucks overflowing with people coming and going to the markets.

Mount Popa.
We climbed to the top - 777steps....here's the view!
With our happy driver Ko Myint Thu who drove us back safely.

From Bridport to Burma

Our Grandchildren, Heidi and Samuel joined us again for our summer holiday at Bridport. Each year is very special to us, we watch them riding their bikes, venturing further down the tracks and now walking to the shops for ice cream with friends.  It's always a treat for us and we feel very fortunate that they look forward to our camping trips each year by the beach.

The 2 bijou tiles are easier to see in this ZIA. Can you see Bijou? He's down the bottom right!

For the next couple of weeks just like Bijou, we are leaving our worries behind and heading off on a journey. Our adventure is taking us to Burma to meet our gorgeous daughter-in-law's family. It's a trip we have been planning since Joshua and Nan were married in October 2013.
It will probably be quite overwhelming to be in such an amazing country. We want to learn as much as we can about Buddhism, their culture and of course see superb scenery with patterns everywhere.

I will be back online in the middle of February.....bye!

Where's Bijou?

It's not Where's Wally? In this playground jetties are bouncing about all over the place, kuke is bobbing along happily and tripoli is venturing to the pendrill fence but where's Bijou?

Tile on a Tile

Bijou pops in!

I spotted this gorgeous idea somewhere on Facebook, someone may help me remember where and who posted it. I think it might be something created at a CZT seminar last year.

Cut little slits in a tile and pop in a bijou!!

The Diva's Weekly Challenge #199: "UMT: Hitch by HeidiSue"

Hope everyone has enjoyed the holidays and are fresh and sparkly for a wonderfully creative 2015.

Opened a new tin of Renaissance Zendala tiles this morning, thought this one was just right for HeidiSue's beaut tangle hitch.
