For our fassett challenge I decided to try 3 different looks.
The 1st one is a renaissance tile with a couple of breakaways. The 2nd is sparkly on a black tile. The 3rd, I rounded the corners of the triangles and randomly squashed them together, the background is a layer of colour with a Copic marker called skin white and shading with a (peach) Prismacolor pencil.

I keep going through these and trying to pick my favourite - but I love them all. Even the fleshy pink one which isn't a colour I'd usually go for. Such a light touch you have! I am wowed!

ReplyDeleteAll are great but I do have a favorite - #1. The way you did the lines, coupled with the dark center gives the fasset stars such volume! You teach me so much! I thank my lucky stars for you so often.
ReplyDeleteAll three are so great at using this tangle. Really beautifully illustrated. I especially enjoyed the colored one at the end. It was flushed with just enough warm hues to make it seem alive! Happy spring to you! Sarah.

ReplyDeleteOh these are beautiful! I love the loopy border treatment on the top one, and as usual, the last one is finished off like a restaurant dish with a drizzle of something intensely flavored - that little flick of the wrist you give to your designs is so amazing and so trademark Shelly!
