TanglePatterns String #003

More creative fun and this week our challenge from The Diva gives us freedom of tangle choice in a string design from Anne Marks posted at Linda's Tanglepatterns.com.
Shoshi's y-ful power is a fantastic tangle and has already become a favourite.
Check out Margaret's jazzy new tangle yoga. The cute little zingers are doing some stretching too!

Gallery Pejean

Gallery Pejean opened late last year in George St, Launceston Tasmania. The gallery is elegant with space for monthly exhibitions and a stunning display of contemporary art.

After being inspired by The Book of Zentangle I took a deep breath and approached Margo Baird, the gallery Director. She very kindly offered to exhibit 4 Zentangle Inspired Art pieces. I had a spring in my step as I walked back to the car. Life is full of surprises!

Thank you Margo for your wonderful support.

Phicops

It amazes me how news of our small corner of the earth weaves it's way around the world. The fires down in the southern and eastern part of Tasmania have been devastating, the area is about 3 hours from our home, yesterday we were covered in a haze of smoke. More than 100 homes have been lost, fortunately so far no lives have been lost. Friends of ours were evacuated, thankfully there home is safe. Today is cooler and after all the heat of the last week the weather forcast is for snow on Mt Wellington. The rest of Australia is sweltering in the high 30s and 40s!!

We are back into the swing of things with The Diva's weekly challenges. Laura's husband, B-rad has designed a fabulous new tangle called phicops. I look forward to seeing all the great new shapes and creations inspired by phicops. I decided to try a spiral and then a funny little fish appeared, can you see it?

Happy New Year

Thank you for all your delightful comments and emails over the holidays.  For the last 10 days we have been tripping around Tasmania in our camper, visiting friends and enjoying the summer.

When Katy was just 1 year old we headed on an adventure to Lake Pedder in the South West Wilderness, the wind was so strong that the tent nearly blew away, we had to tie it to the car. That was 36 years ago, this time we were 'blown away' (so to speak) by the calm waters, pure white sand and peaceful evening.

We were able to camp right on the beach.

Our 10 day holiday was a perfect time to do a 9 piece ensemble.
