Zentangle's new exciting tangle is call IX and is The diva's Challenge #88 for this week.
Shading adds impact and if you love drawing lines you will have fun with IX. I love the effects that can be achieved with this absorbing new tangle. Thank you Rick, Maria and Laura.
beautiful, michelle! i'm still having headaches with IX and i was there when they taught it in person - it still doesn't click. your tile are wonderful!
I'm definitely a line lover, so this tangle looks perfect for me! Your tangles are all so beautiful - I like the first one best, though. The contrast of the nice steady lines with the thick and thin of the "background" is so lovely.
Great how you make new patterns with the IX tangle. It is just a confirmation to me that this tanlge has many opportunities to use. The more piece I see the more I fall in love with this tangle.
Brilliant fixes of IXes ! Great tiles.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the round one! This is not a tangle that appealed much to me so it will be interesting to try it finally.

ReplyDeleteI removed my first comment because of a major spelling error...duh. Anyway.
ReplyDeleteYour first tangle looks to me like an Auraknot IX. Amazing!! I really like it a lot.

Great, absolutely great! I'm still struggling with this tangle; we're not really friends (yet?).
ReplyDeleteAmazing would be an understatement...:)
ReplyDeleteThese are what I call wowsers! I love how you especially went about intermingling the lines!
ReplyDeleteThey are all great but I do like the circular one.
ReplyDeleteThese are great tiles. I think the last one is my fave.

ReplyDeleteI agree. This is a fun tangle and yours are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI really like how you have used this pattern, expecially the first tile.
ReplyDeleteAll beautiful, Shelly :) LOve the detail in the first one, every time I look again I notice another IX snuck in there that I didn't see previously :)

ReplyDeleteThese look wonderful. Your linework is really nice and I like how you worked this pattern on to the Zendala.
ReplyDeleteThree wonderfully different tiles showing off a difficult-to-work-with and make pretty tangle pattern. Love them all!!!
ReplyDeleteLove how you worked IX into a Zendala! All are beautiful, but my fav is the 1st
ReplyDeleteThey are all great but the first one is definitely my favourite
ReplyDeleteWw again, I like the round one, but the last one is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteYour black tile has great dimension! Wow! Looks like you really enjoy drawing "IX". Great compositions, Shelly.
ReplyDeleteAuraknot and IX seem to get tangles-up in my attempts! lol Needs more concentration, I guess. Perhaps I'll go into a hypnotic trance?
