Catching lampions

Mariet from The Netherlands creates absolutely gorgeous Zentangles, you may have seen some of her creations on flickr, she now has a blog, I suggest you pop over and take a look at her fantastic art! http://www.studio-ml.blogspot.com. Today I played with her tangles Lampions, Fishnet and Toeter.

Wanderlust

Here is the result of travel on my mind, a bit of deviation by my pen and the desire to attend the CZT seminar in October.

Autumn is on it's way

The leaves are starting to fall off the Silver Birch trees, Autumn is my favourite time of the year!

Left over right

This tile took me back to my days as a 'Brown Owl' of our local Brownie Guide pack and learning a reef knot..left over right, right over left.

Roundabouts, highway and home!

After a few roundabouts and a visit to see my friend's absolutely darling new grandson I headed north. I made a few stops on the way to make the trip more interesting and bought 2 loaves of delicious, woodfired, super crusty bread!

Space between

The Diva's challenge #10 is to be aware of the 'space between' the tangles!
My day has been delightfully full so I had to stop to think about space. This afternoon I enjoyed happy chatter around the table with Kit, Mel and their Tuesday Tanglers, we drank coffee, ate cake and jelly beans, shared our ideas and tangled inbetween. You know when you have been having a good time when 3 and a half hours flys by like it was just one hour. We didn't leave much space for quiet so my tile is quite busy with just enough space to take a breathe!

Rolling up the hoses

This year our Tasmanian summer has been quite wet so the garden hoses are rolled up and put away!

Envelop

The white space was nearly completely covered, I finally picked a time to stop!!

Fix it Friday

Fridays are my fix it days, clean ups, put things back and straighten up.

Pullys in motion

There might be an underlying meaning in this tile, when I finished and turned it around I saw wheels and pullys, am I being pulled in many directions? Or am I focused and excited about driving down to Hobart to join Kit and the Tuesday Tanglers for their coffee afternoon? ...Yes that's it, can I have cake with that?

Looking and seeing, learning and remembering! There are so many clever tanglers sharing their creations and each one has a wonderfully unique style that makes me feel so fortunate and grateful to have found you all!

Feeling a bit weary I settled with pen and tile, finishing I had a little chuckle because it just reminded me of what I wanted to do......curl up in a pile of soft pillows!

Bridging the gap

I like to think my zentangles are a diary with pictures, not with words. I can look at a certain zentangle and now where I was and what time of the year it was created.

Spin cycle

Do you ever reach the bottom of the laundry basket? Now that's a challenge!

Out of a crevice

It is staggering how life is found struggling amongst rocks and dry sandy soil, pushing it's way forward to the light.

Weekly Challenge #8

Weekly challenge #8. The Diva's little man, Artoo, needs extra love and support because of his struggle to breathe so hearts from across the seas are being tangled especially for him. I wanted to add a touch of blue for a special boy!

Feeling divided

Camping and rain just doesn't mix so we were divided on whether we should pack up while the tent was dry or risk the rain and stay another day and hope for sunshine. The children wanted to stay but sadly we packed up and came home while all our memories are still happy ones.

Friendships

We have been entertained by the little children making friends, giggles and games!

Released

As the grandchildren emerge from their tent each morning they are released to run free!

Flexible

Camping at the beach with our grandchildren I am being as flexible as possible so we can all have a special memorable time. There is sand between our toes, tea tonight was fish and chips while sitting around the camp fire. They should be asleep but I can hear their happy little voices coming from the tent....ssshhh!

Breathe

This week The Diva has reminded us to relax, breathe and smile. A fresh breeze, leaves and sunshine came straight into my mind. Ahhh!
