Challenge #34 this week is by our friend Christina. She had the splendid idea of drawing a curvy string and filling the spaces with straight lines or draw a straight line string and fill with curves. I couldn't stop at just one so tried both suggestions. Thanks Christina..great fun!
Totally awesome! How do you keep coming up with these?
ReplyDeleteI can't decide what to say about these... I'm speechless. I lie them both so very much! The curvy string moves in an out of focus in a 3D-sort of feel. The 2nd tile reminds me of an illustration in a Dr Seuss book... I feel like I'm looking up at tall minarets and towers! Awesome work (as usual!)
ReplyDeleteLove the tiles. Great art!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the second one. I agree about Dr. Seuss!
ReplyDeleteWow! Both are fabulous! Again. :-) My preference is #2. I love the little beehive endings and must try doing them more.

What an inventive, creative lady you are!
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness! LOVE both of them! Your work inspires me to try again!
ReplyDeleteWow! Both of your tangles are lovely. I especially like what you did with "Mooka" in the first one.
ReplyDeleteI love these! The first is lovely and sophisticated. The second is absolutely magical.
ReplyDeleteAwesome....so very creative !
ReplyDeleteAs always, I love your tangles. I've subscribed for awhile and since I'm new to tangling, I love reading your site to see how you combine patterns so effectively. Thanks for visiting my first challenge entry.
ReplyDeleteI love this! I really like how you took the first and used inside the curvy lines as white space. I wouldn't have thought of that.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! These are amazing! I love the use of negative space in the first one!
ReplyDeleteThis is tough, I really like both of these - and yes, the use of the white space in the first is striking - but I love the curves of the second one (seems to be soothing to me). They are amazing!
ReplyDeletejust plain awesome ;) that second one is really cool.
ReplyDeleteThese are both incredible Shelly! I love how you left the mooka blank. So awesome.
ReplyDeleteHello Shelly, I am doing a blog post on Friday about Zentangle. May I use one of your photos, and also link back to your blog? The blog is actually a group blog. We are a group of artists (also friends) and have recently started a blog. You can see it here, if you wish: http://www.beehiveartsalon.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your consideration!
Warm regards,
Marilyn
