A four tile mosaic representing a plate has been on my list of things to do for awhile. Thank you Jeanette for giving me a nudge to play round and bring out the blue pen.
I keep a list of patterns that I intend to try or revisit with a view to improving. This plate is a list all on its own. (Unfortunately I tend to lose said lists, putting them somewhere so safe I can't find them. ) I'd love to have this in my china cupboard.
Such patience to do the same thing repeatedly. It was worth it though as your completed mosaic is just delightful, like a real plate. The blue is so pretty too, and I love the added flower.
At what level was your enthusiasm for tile 4 after you finished tile 3? I checked carefully...tile 4 top right? Must say, I give a 10 for drawing and an additional 10 for patience and endurance! Gorgeous, gorgeous tiles! And like Jean and Anne, love the extra.
I love your post and love the Delft look of the tile. Blue color is really perfect and gorgeous. And I want that as well. Everything that related into Delft I love it. I have collection of Delft pretty much. Ranging from plates, vases or cups. All that I bought from aronson.com/news/month-of-earthenware; you can see their collection as well. They have various gorgeous delftware collection and best one.
