Tripoli is one of my favourite tangles and I wanted to experiment with stripes but to get all the stripes to fit in and stay vertical in the triangle just doesn't work but I like the way parts float off and then merge back together.
Once my monotangle was finished I decided to add some betweed and turn it into a duotangle.
Great idea to add Betweed. But .... the monotangle is also beautiful on it's own.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The touch of color is striking, and doing the strips is unique (to me) for Tripoli. Both the "monotangle", and "duo tangle" each work wonderfully and encourage me again to utilize the basics and keep it simple. There is much to enjoy in the spaces left, and not shading the Betweed kept the space in the duo tangle also. Thank you for sharing your tiles, and the thoughts you had in completing it as you did.

Beautiful! Love the balance. But.... Could it by chance be a tri-tangle? Tripoli morphed with Striping and add a dash of Betweed? Whatever your recipe, your outcomes are always gorgeous!
