Duotangle Meer vs Auraknot

The Diva's
Weekly Challenge #279: "Duotangle Meer vs Auraknot"

I probably wouldn't have thought of this combination so thank you Laura because the tile felt quite festive and I think I'll play some more with this idea.

  3. What a clever idea. I looked at it for ages, working out how you'd done it. (I suspect it seemed obvious to you but it took me a while.) Did you know how it was going to turn out or did you just do one bit, then add something? (The latter being the Maggibee method usually. If I have a purpose I tend to get too wrapped up in end product.)

    1. Oh no, very unplanned, it's always a surprise! Like you if I try to plan I end up going down a different track anyway.
      Thank you for asking

  4. I love this too!
May I ask a question as well? I recently had a long awaited delivery of Rennaisance tiles, I was so excited..do you shade in them graphite, I find them so very delicate? Is this just me being too heavy handed perhaps? Your results are so polished and beautiful :)

    1. Thank you Hilary, yes I do shade with the graphite pencil but very carefully especially smudge lightly. The white charcoal pencil is a bit softer so that's fine.

  5. A wonderful way to draw Auraknot.
The outer "Meer" edge look like feathers, so lovely!

  8. This turned out beautifully. I have struggled with Auraknot and wouldn't have dreamt of trying a shape with so many points but now I have a goal! Thanks for this.
