My go-to relaxing tangle at the moment is fife and zippity-do-da it fits perfectly into Cari's challenge.
The quirky butterfly shape grew out of the tangle squill, that was fun so I did it again!!

Challenge: Circus Life
The Diva's Weekly Challenge #227 GUEST BLOGGER Lee Darter, CZT
The last circus that we went to was Cirque du Soleil's Totem which was based on the evolution of mankind. The water scenes were fascinating, the whole show was extremely spectacular.

For Mum
Thank you so much everyone for your beautiful thoughts and prayers. With sadness Mum passed away on Friday. Thankfully Dad, Katy and I were with her when she took her last breath. Mum's struggle is over, there is a calming relief around us to know her pain has gone. Our home is full of gorgeous flowers, a candle is burning for Mum and we loved having a whirlwind of family and special friends join us over the weekend, who have helped share this difficult time.
Mum loved lace, bows, beads and flowers. The orchids are from Mum's garden, the thimble was given to her when she started working as a seamstress at 16 years of age. I gave her the little blue vase bought with my first wage when I was 16, it always sat on the window ledge with a flower in it. When I was young I remember Mum wearing little heeled slippers, they were either fluffy or decorated with fancy bows so when I saw the miniature a few years ago it made a fun present.

Simplicity
The Diva's Weekly Challenge #226 GUEST BLOGGER Katie Crommett, CZT
Isn't it special when our world is in sync and right thing happens at the right time. Although saying that, our family is going through a very sad time. I wasn't quite sure if I was ready to share this but I am sure my Zentangle family will understand. My Mum is hospital and seriously ill with pancreatitis, her body is wearing out and she is exhausted. I have been sitting by her bed for long hours, quietly chatting, reading and tangling. Many of my tangled tiles have been shared and given to nurses and patients. These tiles have bought smiles and conversations when times are awkward. They have been drawn with simplicity in mind, nothing to complicated or over done. I often ask Mum if she needs anything, she replies with "No thank you, just stay" That's easy, simplicity with love and a hug.
