I love your art work. I have only been tangling for a month and haven't taken a class yet because I live in the North. I have a question if you don't mind answering, where do you start your tangles and for the large ones do you still make a string? Thank you. Jen
Thank you! Jen, yes I always draw a string. Next time I do a larger ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) I will post the string first. Every ZIA is different sometimes I start in a corner and work up or down, sometimes right in the middle, with this one I started with Brayd on the right side. I'm happy to answer any questions. Have you found the list of Certified Zentangle Teachers in your area on Zentangle.com? Happy tangling!
Thank you for answering my questions. I did find two teachers in Saskatoon who looks like they are the closest travel distance for me. I am hoping to try a class in the summer. I am really drawn to the larger art inspired tangles like yours but enjoy doing the smaller ones because of the instant gratification and my time warrants, aka small children. I am looking forward to seeing your strings and finished project. Very inspiring.
Beautiful as always - your large pieces are just amazing and I just keep looking and looking to enjoy all the details and see how many tangles I recognize. Inevitably there are some new ones and it's like Christmas morning when I spot them! Thanks for sharing! Happy Holidays!
Stunning...again...I love visiting your blog because I always feel inspired looking at your creations. I'm keen to see the string and process too, so thanks Jen for asking the question !

I just love your style--it is so graceful and delicate. I always look forward to seeing your creations, and this one certainly doesn't disappoint. The gentle touches of green are just perfect.
I too am amazed and inspired by your tangles, Shelley. There is just something so peaceful and tranquil about them. Would it be too much bother to post more than one shot of your creations as they are unfolding? The string, then about 1/4 way through, then 1/2 way, etc. I am so curious as to how they unfold! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful creations with us! You are definitely one of my favorite Zentangleists.
I'm always following your wonderful creations. This one is a masterpiece!!
ReplyDeleteLove the Umble and your jungle is beautiful as always...so soft and delicate!
