Travelling Tangles

Have you heard of the Travelling Tangles Project?

If not check out the Facebook page here  It's easy, just read Stephanie Jennifer's guidelines and share.

Tangles are travelling all over the world, basically we tangle half a tile and mail it to a tangler that you have invited to share your tiles and they finish off your tile and keep it. You will receive a tile in return, it really is a fun project.

Here are some of my shared tiles.

I mailed this tile to Francious Lip in Queensland and she completed it (below)

This one is from Janet Day (USA) which I completed.

Here is a tile from Christel Fonke (Belgium)
and finished by me.

I mailed this one to Michele Wynne (USA) and she completed it.

Running 'round in Circles

The Diva's Weekly Challenge #277: Running 'round in Circles

The featured tangle this week on our Facebook group 'Square One: Purely Zentangle' is echoism which is really hard to see on this tile but it's hidden in there. If you are not sure what it looks like click on Tanglepatterns.
I decided to draw echoism around a circle so it worked really well for The Diva's challenge as well. It was funny how echoism disappeared by filling in the spaces and had to have another go with colour on a Zendala.

Moving tangles!

The Diva's
Weekly Challenge #276: "SpaceTruckin' - Moving tangles!"

Fun, wobbly and good memories. These two tiles were tangled while Paul and I travelled on the fast train from Paris to Amsterdam last September. I had been so inspired by the beautiful balconies and railings in Paris that as soon as we settled in our seats on the train my tiles and pen were out.  Oh, I had a glass of wine as well (as you do in France)!

Give Peace a Chance

The Diva's
Weekly Challenge #275: "Guest Post: Give Peace a Chance - Suzanne Fluhr, CZT"

Yes 'Black Lives Matter' and thank you to Suzanne for bringing the message to us this week. Let's show support in our lives and art, be kind to each other.
I don't know why drupe is the name of this tangle but I like the way it hugs the sides and squeezes in between the lines marching closely together to a point. Let's stick together, give peace a chance and march forward with belief that we can live in a happy safe world.

Creative with Opus

This week I enjoyed 2 special days with The Creative Miss L. It had been a year since our last class so it was lovely to catch up and chat. With a chilly wind outside we were happy tangling on Opus tiles, linking tangles, exploring fragments and playing with some colour.

Green and Gold

The Diva's Weekly Challenge #274: "My Country 'Tis of Thee"

Country pride - that's the green and gold for me. The Australian bush, the golden sunshine, our sporting colours and we will soon be hearing the chants of "Go green and gold" at Rio for the Olympics.
