Undulating

The Diva's Weekly Challenge #231: "The Undulating Tangles in C and S minor"

Undulating SSS are pure bliss to draw, thank goodness for that!
 

Last week I developed a Vitreous Floater in my right eye, it has appeared as a cobweb like shadow which at first I tried to brush away but it's just floating there with nowhere to go. Apparently my brain will gradually adjust to it so until then I am trying to ignore it. Amazingly my mind is able to forget about it while tangling. The strange thing is that while reading a book I see it....weird.

Back to our challenge, I love doing S shapes and have been playing with Kelley Kelly's meringue lately which is so free and undulating!  Popsicles is made up of S shapes also so I decided to add coloured tones with the Prismacolor pencils.

 

 

Scrapbooks

Is scrapbooking still popular where you live? It's not the craze here in Tasmania as it used to be but I still love all the beautiful papers, wonderful designs and ideas for keeping those special memories. Each year I do a page for Heidi and Samuel in their scrapbooks of something that has happened during the year. I started doing this when they were 1st born but I have only just sat down and created there pages for 2014 and you will be surprised to know that this is the 1st page that I've tangled on in Heidi's book. She is 11 in this photo and it's the 1st 'selfie' that she sent me. That's special!!

500 Tangles

Beckah Krahula's inspirational new book 500 Tangled Artworks arrived in my mail box this week. With every page turn you will ooh and ah at all the different tangles and styles that our Zentangle artists have uniquely created including mixed-media, fibre and sculpture. Many names are familiar to me and it's so good to see many others from around the world who have contributed but may not have an internet site.

Thank you Beckah for this super collection of Zentangle art.
