The Diva's Weekly Challenge #224: "Monotangle: Tipple"

Tipple tints on tan!
Recently I ordered a kit from Marty Deckel called "Tints on Tan, Seaside Edition".  Wow wow wow! I am working slowly to learn these beaut effects and tipple was a fun way to get the feel of the colour pencils using light layers and shading. I am really looking forward to more practice and play making our tangles pop!!

 

Keeko in the Centre of Attention

There is a theme happening here. Keeko is a super tangle for 'getting in the zone' it's relaxing to draw the lines 1 2 3 4 across 1 2 3 4 down with a small bend or curve and imagine the weaving in and out. I like to round the ends and pull out the threads. That is how mak-rah-mee  evolved. You can add many tangles working with these threads.
Oh it's all so much fun!!

Here is my larger piece on an Opus tile which was inspired by The Diva's 'Beads of Courage' challenge this week. A seed of an idea was there but I just didn't know how it would grow.
I love that element of surprise with Zentangle art, when out of the blue something fun turns up!

Over the years Laura's challenges have become inspirational seeds of thoughts and ideas for larger Zentangle art pieces. This was fun and I think I'll expand this theme onto an Opus tile and see what happens.

Oh la la Alice's all boxed up jumped out of the square and went round like a donut. Then bordered a square on a round tile.
