Star in Auraknot

There are no mistakes in Zentangle but plenty of fun surprises like when the star in auraknot appeared.

 

Follow the steps, miss alternate points and bingo a star is born.

Tangleation (a variation on a tangle or a combination of one or more tangles).
Mooka gets the wiggles when doing the diva dance.

Spin then Split Spiralations

These are fun.....draw a spiral string in pencil.

With your pen divide the spiral into triangles, leave spaces in between.

Embellish with tangles and tanglenhancers.

Quandary

Oh so many decisions, what will I do? What a quandary!  Just start with the new official tangle quandary! Ideas will flow and shading brings fun dimensions, there are heaps of ways to diverse and play.
This week The Diva brings us quandary as challenge #107.

Inapod Spiralation Step Out

Carole Ohl's inapod is a favourite tangle, it can squeeze into many spaces or flow out and escape.

I have had a few requests for ZIA step outs so I chose inapod in a spial string on paper -

19cm x 28cm  (7" x  11").

 

Thank you for popping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.



Draw a spiral string in pencil and curvy lines in pen.

 

Start filling in spaces with inapod.

 

I like to extend the ties and add more for fun.

 

Add a little colour if you wish.

 

 

Embellish with more tangles

 

Shade and add light with the white charcoal pencil.

The Year of the Snake

The Chinese Year of the Snake is the theme for The Diva's Challenge #106. The lucky colours for 2013 are red and yellow so I couldn't resist some red Chinese lanterns.  I like to think snakes pass quietly by without causing any fuss and trouble not that I want 2013 to be uneventful. The snake is known for being wise so a year of making wise decisions sounds fine to me.

Back from the beach

This morning it was hard leaving the sparkling blue water of Bridport.

The internet was very slow while we have been away, actually we were fortunate to be able to connect at all so tonight after the washing is done and things are back to normal I will settle in my comfy chair and flip through The Diva's challenge list and see what wonderful Zentangle art has been created.

Dansk

We woke to a sparkling morning at the beach, so I was swimming before breakfast. A super treat!!
The Diva's challenge #105 is Margaret's delightful dansk, it reminds me of tiny fish in whirlpools.

Back to Bridport

We are back at Bridport, our favourite campground. Heidi and Samuel are with us for a few days before the school term starts. We are busy bike riding, swimming and of course tangling.
